Light diffusing lamp made of paper and based on an innovative and original idea : paper, folds and light, origami and light.
The light diffuser originates from an original concept and an unique process.
Paper leaves are cut up, coloured and manually folded thanks to a very specific origami technique (structured crumpling). These successive operations give volume, elasticity, curves and very surprising contrasts to the paper. They allow of the creation of subtle and yet very robust light diffusers. Subtle because of their shape, their flexibility and the mellowness of the diffused light. Robust because highly heat resistant and, in case of damage due to a fall or a shock they will easily be brought into shape again.
Structure is made out of wrought iron and follows the folding.
Safety :
- This lamp conforms with the European norm NF-EN 60-598.
- Maximum power for glow-lamp : 40W
- The paper which is used has been especially designed to resist very high temperatures (higher than 200°C / 400°F). It can resist the bulb heat but can be set on fire if in contact with a flame.
Advices :
Indoor use only.
Do not place the lamp in damp places and avoid direct and long-lasting exposition to the sun, which would cause the colours to fade.
